Southeast Biology Greenhouses

We are currently renovating our two Biology greenhouses. Located behind Magill Hall, the Biology Department has both a research & a plant diversity greenhouse.  These two greenhouses are in need of numerous updates and repairs, which are currently underway.  The work is being done by both the university and undergraduate workers. Lots of hard work and we are proud of our progress!

The research greenhouse will house experimental plants for faculty, graduate student & undergraduate research. It will also provide space for experimental plants used for courses at SEMO.

The teaching greenhouse is much larger and will house a diversity of plants for teaching and outreach at SEMO. Plants from this greenhouse will mostly be used for teaching purposes both in the classroom and providing students at SEMO valuable experiential learning in plant biology in the greenhouse itself.
